ANTI-STATIC ESD FABRIC
ESD PROTECTION
ABOUT THIS ITEM
Anti-static fabrics, also referred to as conductive textiles, leverage physical principles to impart anti-static properties by discharging and neutralizing electrical charges.
The phenomenon of static electricity occurs when objects remain separated for an extended period after coming into contact. Essentially, all objects generate static electricity upon contact, with materials prone to electrification producing higher levels. The duration of charge retention is directly proportional to the resistance of the fabric surface. By diminishing the specific resistance of the fabric to a defined level, static electricity can be effectively thwarted. Anti-static fabrics are specially crafted in accordance with this principle, employing key raw materials such as sub-conductive fibers, stainless steel fibers, and anti-static synthetic fibers. These materials facilitate the rapid elimination of static electricity. Through their incorporation into blended fabrics or polyester-cotton blends, anti-static fabrics are created to counteract static electricity.
